To use WireGuard with IPv6, you will also need to ensure that your server is configured to support that type of traffic.

If you are using a remote system, be sure to follow all of the optional sections later in this tutorial or you may lock yourself out of the system. For the purposes of this tutorial, it’s recommended that you use your local machine as the WireGuard Peer, but you can use remote servers, or mobile phones as clients if you prefer. In this tutorial we’ll refer to this machine as the WireGuard Peer.

You’ll need a client machine that you will use to connect to your WireGuard Server.
